Russ Kotlarek | Oshkosh recap

Airventure 2014 was excellent. From the weather to the SPA corn roast, Thuderbirds were amazing, and Saturday's watermelon social all made 2014 perfect.

Although we had a couple heavy afternoon showers the weather for Oshkosh in August was very decent. Slightly cooler than normal (Mid 70s- 80s) it was exceedingly pleasant.

Numerous Seawinds made the trek. Jerry's flawless Seawind with his camper addition made it up from Vegas and Oklahoma with his Grandson Gage. Always a good time with Jerry. Kieth came up form IL which is a yearly staple in the Airventure arena. Steve brought up his P&W Turbine which was nice to see.

As for attendance in addition to that our past Editor John and his lovely Wife were on the grounds, as was Mark, Dorian, and the Newest Seawinder Matt Johnson and myself.

I heard rumors of two other Seawinds coming in for one day but I have no Idea who they were.

All in all it was fabulous week and a great showing of Seawinds. Although we were scatter throughout the show I look forward to seeing flocks of Seawinds into the future at Airventure. Our pilots are more careful and safer than ever and it appears this attention is paying off, Great to see !!!
