I just received a call about an IO-540 engine & prop for sale. It came off Bob Hemme's N8025Q which caught fire in flight and he put it on the water and got out with no injuries. The engine did receive some damage and would probably have to be torn down to assess what it needs.

The gentleman selling the engine name is Rob Scott and he is located near Houston Texas. His asking price is $10,000 for the package. His phone is :

Jim Small | Salvaged Engine

Gentlemen,

I called Mr Rob Scott about the engine. He kindly sent me 18 photos. He obtained this engine from aircraft salvage. It has significant fire damage. It includes a badly burned composite prop with fully reversing hub. There is an engine log and documentation about the propeller. It includes a Seawind exhaust system.

I have no further interest in the engine. I will now attempt to attach two photos. I will be happy to send the other photos to interested folks. - Jim

Does the hub have fire damage or just the prop...?

I was hoping the hub might have been salvagable.....I am L@@King for one.
