My friend David King called me Friday from Hawaii and picked my brain on how to sell his kit which is presently in secure storage in Manilla, Phillipines. He has given up on the dream. Far too busy building high rises, no time to finish. And I know he really wanted it.

Tough to make these decisions. Kit # 119 is a Kwick-Kit with an estimated 4500 to 5000 hours of assembly labor put into it. It has all options except power nosewheel steering, I believe. David is an architect and assures me that the level of quality put into this build is exceptionally good. He estimates the airplane may be close 75% completed. There is no powerplant installation.

Cost to bring it back to the U.S.A., in a container, will be about $6,000. I advised him that he is likely to only be able to get out of it what he has in it in parts. Getting paid for labor done on an airplane that is incomplete is pretty much impossible. That's just the way the market is, and no matter how much we don't like it, we aren't going to change it. As an afterthought, you may contact David King directly on his cell phone (808) 277-1528 or call me for more info at (941) 755-9003. I have not seen the aircraft and can give no opinion on work done, sorry. Mike
