Seawind Splash-In 2008

Hi Seawinders, I'm just reposting the agenda for Feb.

We're also looking for a rough headcount, so John P can tell the restaurant close to his place how many to prepare for. Email: planemakers@planemakers.com

So far this is what we have come up with:

Friday - Feb 22, 2008:

Early Evening: For those who get here early, an unplanned, informal get-together at a local restaurant for dinner. Taxi up to our hanger or call the shop 941-359-0255 or my cell 941-704-6665 when you get into town.

Saturday - Feb 23, 2008:

Pre-9:00am: - Coffee and doughnuts, kick tires, preflight the hangar, etc.

9:00am: - Welcome, shop tour, open forum, show and tell, Q & A. Hosted by John J and Chris D

12:00pm: - Lunch by 'Chef Paul' at the Planemakers Hanger.

1:00pm: - 'Your Canopy Hinges and You' by Keith Walljasper

Post Keith: - Maybe Seawind rides for those that have not had the pleasure of riding in a Seawind.

4:00pm: - Leave SRQ for John Parks' house for a Cocktail party and get-together.

6:30ish pm: - Leave John Parks' house for the restaurant for dinner.

Sunday - Feb 24, 2008:

Pre-9:00am: - Coffee and doughnuts, kick tires, preflight the hanger, etc.

9:00am: - 'Engine Out Approaches' by Jack Ardoyno

12:00pm: - Lunch Buffet at the Planemakers hanger.

1:00pm: - Maybe some more flight time or discussion time.

If you have a subject you would like to talk about personaly or you have a suggestion for a subject you would like to have someone else or a group discussion about, let us know by calling the shop or emailing us off list or posting it here.

We plan on talking to the tower about the legalities of flying off the water in the area and maybe they will come and have a little forum about that too.
